Because of these DRP arrangements, the partner repairers often agree to use inferior after-market parts, omit recommended procedures, concede to discounts on labor, parts and materials, and even provide other services (i.e. towing, storage, rental etc.) at no charge to the insurer. These costs (losses) are oftentimes recovered by the repairer through short-cuts in the repair, low-cost-lower skilled technicians, lower quality materials etc. which may cause for potential safety issues and further loss in value of your vehicle.
